The OMAR shelf is incredibly functional and can hold many things in different ways, adding ample storage to even the smallest of spaces.

Ready-to-Go Entryway

My family and I need an entryway that can function as a place to grab + go our essentials when leaving the house, and as a space to store our dog's accessories like leashes, waste bags, and treats. I wanted it to feel convenient and spacious, which is exactly what I got with the IKEA OMAR shelving unit. This piece is customizable, meaning you get to pick the height and placement for each self, which makes it super easy and simple to tailor to you and your needs.

The TJENA storage boxes are the perfect solution for storing things that you don’t necessarily want to see, and their crisp white design keeps the area feeling fresh and clean. I added some decor elements to the top shelf along with a tray to drop things like keys or wallets, and a fun lantern light to illuminate the space on dark mornings or nights. The OMAR shelf is incredibly functional and can hold many things in different ways, adding ample storage to even the smallest of spaces. It also comes in a smaller size if you need to consolidate even more!

The NISSAFORS rolling cart is so versatile, but for me it made sense to transform this into a mobile coffee cart.

Mobile Coffee Station

Having a smaller space often means less counter space, and that’s some prime real estate for your favorite kitchen appliances, or, if you’re like me—for cookbooks. I was looking for a way to clear up my counters without downgrading my coffee setup, which is something that’s very important in this house. The NISSAFORS rolling cart is so versatile, but for me it made sense to transform this into a mobile coffee cart. Having all of my coffee needs in one place—that can also move around if needed—sounded like an idea I had to execute.

This cart can fit into any corner or small area, and there’s even space for stylish storage baskets to hold things like coffee filters and napkins. I also wanted to add personality to the cart witht a decor accent, which is why I loved pairing it with the MOSSLANDA picture ledge where I can feature calming prints and a whimsical plant for some added greenery. My favorite thing about this is that if I decide to wheel the coffee cart to another room, the ledge and prints still stand strong on their own and make a great focal point.

While I typically store my reading material in another room, I knew there had to be a way I could make this idea more convenient, even with just one corner of space to work with.

Reading Nook

I have a collection of books and magazines that I return to over and over, my favorite Sunday morning activity. While I typically store my reading material in another room, I knew there had to be a way I could make this idea more convenient, even with just one corner of space to work with. Enter the IKEA KALLAX shelf. This unit is incredibly customizable, but the way I chose to use it was as a more open concept that allowed me to house my favorite reading material, and again, some decor accents.

Adding a sheepskin rug for some texture brings an even cozier feel to the small space, and the NÄVLINGE lamp is sleek but bendy, so I can direct the light where I need to on darker winter mornings. This IKEA winding country road print adds even more calm to the corner. Pairing this with a chair that feels more open than solid creates a reading nook that’s both airy and comfortable, which just happen to be my perfect reading conditions.

With IKEA, I was able to easily curate and transform 3 spaces that needed upgrades in an organized, stylish way. Their products seem to always fit and work together in a multitude of ways, and they never compromise on functionality. Just because your space might be small does not mean you have to give up storage, organization, or a home that works for you and your routine.
